The thing I’ve noticed though is that having any more than 2 or 3 different task ideas in my head at one time that I’m trying to remember can get kind of distracting.
I took some wide strips of some scrap drop cloth that I had laying around and glued those to the bottom of the bed to act as the secret “base” to the bed skirt.. At this point, I realized that I probably could have just stuck some wide strips of a nice patterned fabric on there and that would have been good enough for a bed skirt, but it was too late!I was in too deep!.
I also realized that I didn’t have the heart to disturb the kitty’s nap to make the bed for this picture, so I didn’t.I had originally wanted to make this a ruffly bed skirt.I took one of the strips of fabric and hand-sewed some big, one inch stitches in it, then I pulled the thread tight to make it ruffle up..
The thing is, when I brought this strip upstairs to hold it up to the bed and see how it would look, I quickly realized that this whole ruffle thing was going to be a little too frou frou for Kennedy. So basically half of all of those millions of strips of fabric that I’d ripped, and ironed, and sewn were totally not needed.. Oh well!
You live you learn!.
I just took my strips up to the bed, got out the hot glue gun and started sticking them right on to the base fabric that I’d already put up there.. You can see that I really didn’t worry about how straight my fabric strips are. It’s just a brilliant invention.
The only time that you shouldn’t use that kind of paint is if you’re doing bathroom or kitchen ceilings. The humidity in those rooms can tend to keep the paint from staying dry enough and the pink tint will show up again.
So stick with regular white paint in those rooms.. Work in small sections, get really confused, and then come back and touch it up.If you’re having trouble remembering which sections you’ve already painted on your ceiling while you’re working, you’re not alone.
